Temple Or Elohim Invites Our ,Congregants Friends and Neighbors to the Fifth Annual “Shabbat Under the Stars''

Friday, September 7, 2012 will be the Fifth Annual “Shabbat Under the Stars’’. Commencing at 6:00 PM, congregants, their guests and all of our neighbors are invited to enjoy Hamburgers, Chicken, Veggie Burgers, Hot Dogs along with all the fixings and many side dishes. As in the past we will have a delicious Oneg Shabbat dessert feast courtesy of the wonderful bakers in our Congregation under the direction of our own “Betty Crocker” Amy Adler.

This year, we will be entertained with music from the 60s and 70s. The guest performers are friends of our new Cantor David Katz. For those of you who have not had a chance to meet our new cantor, this would be a great opportunity to do so.

This Unique Event will feature services conducted by Rabbi Harvey Abramowitz and Cantor David Katz in front of our majestic stained glass windows. We look forward to hearing from our Bar Mitzvah student Spenser Russell who will lead us in the Kiddush, while his mom, Beth Russell will kindle the Shabbat candles.

If it should rain, our event will be held inside our beautiful social hall and Kiddush room. But, hopefully, the weather will cooperate and we will be under the stars as promised.

Our Men’s Club will be sponsoring a raffle during the BBQ with the Grand Prize of a gift certificate to the Apple Store for an IPAD. Committee members and our Board of Trustees will be available to answer questions about ourTempleas well as welcoming all to our Or Elohim Family. Our Religious School Committee will also be taking orders once again for “Grandma’s Coffee Cakes”.
