Those looking for a fun way to see great cars and maybe show off their own car on Long Island can find it at the Commack Sunday Car Meet. Held each Sunday through November 18th, this weekly meeting is a favorite among the car enthusiasts in the area. Held at Grill 454, this car event allows everyone to bring in their favorite car and swap stories.
The restaurant at 88 Veterans Memorial Highway in Commack, NY opens their parking lot to anyone who wants to show up. The large parking lot has the ability to house more than 300 cars, but is seldom even half filled. The crowds can vary depending on the week and the amount of interest generated in the show that week.
The lot is opened to the public at 8:00 a.m. and does not have an end time listed. All people interested in showing up can count on finding a variety of cars to look at from old showroom pieces to more modern tuned vehicles. Admission is free and it is a fun way to get out and see some interesting cars. You never know what you will see, whenever you show up at the car meet.
With the Grill 454 right next door to the car meet, it is possible to get a drink or grab a bite to eat. The restaurant has a diverse menu from brunch in the morning to a great dinner menu for those looking for a great sit down meal. If you are simply looking for homey food while enjoying one of the eight large screen TVs, you can find that as well. The Grill Room allows you a great way to relax in between looking at all of the different cars which are attracted to the Commack Sunday Car Meet.
