Smithtown, NY - October 13, 2014 - On Tuesday, October 9th, St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center joined Smith Haven Mall at their annual breast cancer awareness awareness event, Paint the Mall Pink.
St. Catherine’s Breast Health Educator/Navigator Meiling Alsen, RN, presented on “Breast Cancer: Myths, Risks and Early Detection” and was avaliable to answer questions throughout the evening.
Also in attendance was St. Catherine’s Director of Public Affairs and Volunteers Services Heather Reynolds, who created a beautiful artistic renedering of a pink flower, which she plans donate to St. Catherine’s Women’s Health and Outpatient Diagnostic Pavilion.
St. Catherine of Siena is committed to educating the community anout breast health and encouraging mammography screenings in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month during October, and throughout the year.
