St. Catherine of SienaMedicalCenterheld its Annual Auxiliary and Volunteer Luncheon on Monday, November 19th, 2012, where more than 50 volunteers were thanked for their time and talents.
Volunteers were thanked for giving hours from 100 to an astounding 45,739 hours. For 2012 alone, to date, the volunteers at St. Catherine have donated 18,053 hours.
In attendance to thank the volunteers for the tremendous gift of time donated were St. Catherine’s administrative team including, Executive Vice President and CAO Dennis Verzi, Senior Vice President of Administration and Chief Nursing Officer Gara Edelstein, Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer Patrick O’Shaughnessy, DO. Also in attendance was Board of Trustees Member and Secretary Deacon Thomas Reilly.
The luncheon was also a forum to install the Auxiliary President Dorothy Nunziata. Other 2012 officers were also installed as follows: First Vice President: Audrey Graft, Second Vice President: Carol Walsh, Corresponding Secretary: Vicki Zubrycky, Recording Secretary: Valerie Linder, Commack/Hauppauge Area Chair: Mary Steinbeck, Smithtown Area Chair: Paul Lapreziosa and St. James/Stony Brook Area Chair: Irene Johnson.
When thanking the volunteers for their invaluable gift of time, St. Catherine’s Executive Director and CAO Dennis Verzi stated, “Volunteers are a constant at St. Catherine and we appreciate your efforts and dedication.” He continued, “Thank you for making the lives of the patients and visitors so much better at St. Catherine”
