Graduates 20 Certified Nursing Assistants
Smithtown, NY – On Tuesday, March 27, 2012, St. Catherine of Siena Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center held its seventh Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) graduation ceremony. This free program, which is held at St. Catherine ofSiena, consists of a rigorous 11-week training course and includes hands-on clinical skills. 20 students were selected from a pool of 600 applicants. Upon completion of the program and exam, students became CNAs. Many will continue their education and become Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses.
Vice President of Long-Term Care Michael Quartararo commented, “This program has been a great success over the years, because the students receive on the job training. This benefits St. Catherine of Siena Nursing andRehabilitationCareCenter, as well as we graduate well-qualified certified nursing assistants.”
