SPARKBOOM Announces "Boom In the Barn"

(Huntington, NY - May 17, 2013) Join SPARKBOOM for "Boom in the Barn" a local night filled with jazz, music, craft beer, food and artwork will be held at the Conklin Barn (2 High St., Huntington, NY 11743) onFriday, May 31, 2013, from 7-10 p.m.

"Boom in the Barn" is a SPARKBOOM Jazz Event that features very on-the-edge people, young people who are just starting to make some noise, significant sounds on the New York Music Scene - redefining the aesthetic of "Cool." Featuring local artists ALCO, the internationally influenced The KK Group, and jazz singer/songwriter JB Baretsky & Trio.

Artwork by emerging artists Anuapama Annam, Eric Hurnyak, Cassandra Grossman, Dan Guido, Jason Koza and Jason Stuart set the stage, transforming the barn backdrop into an untraditional art gallery. Special appearances by Creative Vortex featuring their traveling interactive project "Creative Unity" and Clarity performing spoken word from his latest book SLUICE.

Craft beer will be provided throughout the evening courtesy of Greenport Harbor Brewery. Admission is free. A donation of $5 is suggested.
