There are many small businesses in the Long Island area recognizing the benefits received from immigrants in the local work population. These businesses have gotten together to form the Make the Road New York group. The nonprofit group met on Saturday to celebrate the immigrants in the area and everything that they do for the business community.
Part of what the group is hoping to accomplish is to provide aid to all of the immigrants that need it. The event is also to help in celebrating the new offices for the Make the Road in Brentwood. The partnership formed with the area businesses will help to provide jobs for those who need them and training to be able to advance in their careers.
