Showcasing Talented Member Artists at Mills Pond House Gallery November 10 – December 21, 2012

Smithtown Township Arts Council is pleased to highlight the talents of its artist members! The Members’ Showcase Exhibition, which features fine original artwork created by over 50 of the arts council’s member artists, will be on view from November 10 through December 21 at the Mills Pond House Gallery, 660 Route 25A, St. James, NY. Exhibiting artists hail from 26 communities across Long Island as well as Alaska, Florida, and Michigan.

A wide variety of media is represented including watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, collage and photography. STAC invites the public to an opening reception on Saturday, November 10 from 2-4 pm. to meet the exhibiting artists and view their work.

During the exhibition, the gallery will feature a special Holiday Market Weekend featuring the St. James Model Railroad Open House and a Granny’s Attic sale as well as vendors selling die-cast models, jewelry and more. Holiday Market Weekend dates are Friday, November 30 (6 pm - 9 pm), Saturday and Sunday December 1 & 2 (11 am – 5 pm). Visit the gallery with the entire family…enjoy the model railroad with animated accessories, bustling towns, a colorful circus and amusement park…enjoy the beautiful artwork…do a little holiday shopping. Admission to the gallery is free. Admission to the model railroad $2 for adults, 50 cents for children (admission proceeds to benefit St. James Model Railroad)

Mills Pond House Gallery hours are: Monday – Friday 10 am – 5 pm and Saturday - Sunday 12 pm – 4pm. The gallery will be closed Nov. 12 and Nov. 21-25. Please call 631-862-6575 or visit www.stacarts.org for more information.
