Keasbey, NJ - May 10, 2016 - Customers can receive complimentary health and wellness advice, counseling and meal planning at the ShopRite of Patchogue courtesy of ShopRite’s new in-store Retail Dietitian, Sara Turnasella, RD.
Harry Janson, President of Janson Supermarkets, LLC, a family business that owns and operates the ShopRite of Patchogue, announced today that Sara Turnasella, a Retail Dietitian, has joined the organization. Ms. Turnasella earned a Bachelor of Science degree from LIU, and previously worked at The Renfrew Center and Personal Training Institute as a Nutritionist.
“We are excited to add Sara to our team as part of our commitment to better serve our customers and help them live healthier lives,” said Mr. Janson. “ShopRite is about families serving families. We’re happy to add Sara as a valuable resource for both our associates and customers to provide expert advice and support for their nutrition and health needs.”
As the new Retail Dietitian for the ShopRite of Patchogue, Ms. Turnasella can guide customers on a range of issues, from learning how to shop and prepare healthy meals, to proper nutrition for specific health conditions and dietary needs. Ms. Turnasella will host a series of in-store healthy cooking classes, provide tips on upgrading shopping lists and recipes with healthy alternatives, hold seminars on pantry makeovers, and even navigate the aisles with shoppers to decipher food labels and find ways to improve their diet.
As part of ShopRite’s Retail Dietitian team, Ms. Turnasella is one of more than 120 Registered Dietitians who service ShopRite customers in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware and Maryland. Together these dietitians offer nutrition advice, meal planning, and diet modification for specific medical conditions.
