Mochi-Tsuki is the traditional mochi (glutinous sweet rice) pounding ceremony.
Kagami-Biraki is to serve and share the Mochi with many people to celebrate the end of the New Year Holiday Season, which falls on January 11th.
Come on out and experience this novel and rare event in which steamed Glutinous rice is transformed into soft, chewy cakes. Diners on this night will be given tickets to redeem for free Mochi and Ice Cream after their meal along with a small Tea Ceremony (Maccha) in the Japanese Garden.
Reservations can be made at www.ShiroOfJapan.com.
