The Catholic Writers of Long Island and the Long Island Life Center are putting on a fundraiser in which a movie will be screened and those in attendance will be able to ask questions of the producer.
The movie itself is called the War of the Vendee. It is a tale about how the Catholic Church was met with a serious backlash after the French Revolution. Also in attendance at the event will be a few of the cast members and some of the costumes that were worn on the set. You will be able to speak with the cast members as well to get a feeling for how it was to be in the movie.
Those looking to attend can do so for free. You are allowed to offer a donation if you wish. There will be a chance to do so after the movie is over. If you arrive early, you should be able to find plenty of seating as well as a good parking space. Because the event is located at St. Anthony’s High School, parking may become limited the closer to the start of the event you get.
The movie will be shown at 6pm and will last until 8:30pm. Show up on September 1, 2012 to gain admission. Simply follow the signs from the parking lot to the auditorium inside of the school. If you need more information or directions to the school, you can call 631-235-9340 for more information.
