Save-A-Pet Kicks Off 7^th Annual Ruff Riders Rally

Who: Save-a-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center - Motorcycle riders and dog lovers

What: Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center will join motorcycle riders and fellow dog lovers at the 7^th Annual Save-a-Pet Ruff Riders Rally. This event raises money for the care of rescued animals. The motorcycle rally starts at Petco in Rocky Point and tours through eastern Suffolk County towards central Long Island, where it will end at Hooters of Islandia.

When: Sunday, July 22 (Please note: This is a rain-or-shine event.)

9:30 a.m. — Registration starts.
11:00 a.m. — Kickstands go up.

Where: Start: Petco 346 Route 25A, Rocky Point, NY

End: Hooters of Islandia - 3701 Expressway Drive North, Islandia, NY

Directions: To Petco: Long Island Expressway to Exit 63 (N Ocean Ave/Mount Sinai/Patchogue). Merge onto Expy Drive S. Turn left onto N Ocean Ave. (CR 83). Take North Ocean Avenue until the end, then make a right onto North Country Road (Route 25A). Keep straight onto Rte. 25A for the next 3.5 miles. Petco will be on the right-hand side.

To Hooters of Islandia: Make a right out of Petco and back onto N. Country Rd. (NYS Bicycle Route 25). Turn right onto Rocky Point/Yaphank Rd. (CR 21). Continue onto Coram-Yaphank/Mill Rd/Yaphank Middle Island Rd. Make a slight left onto E. Patchogue Yaphank Rd./Sills Rd., then turn right onto the Long Island Expressway (I-495) North Service Rd. Head west on the LIE to Exit 58 (Old Nichols Road). Stay on Expressway Drive North. Cross over Old Nichols Road and then make a right into Hooters of Islandia.
