The Greater Port Jefferson - Northern Brookhaven Arts Council (GPJAC) is very proud to present a concert with renowned vocalists Ron and Julie Ann Meixsell at Temple Isaiah, 1404 Stony Brook Road in Stony Brook on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 2:00 PM.
These exciting singers will present a varied program, featuring selections from Mozart, Puccini, Verdi and more, as well as a number of favorites by Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Richard Rogers and Vaugn Wiiliams, among others. They will be accompanied by pianist Aglaia Messina. The Meixsells will be showcasing their broad repertoire at Temple Isaiah in Stony Brook. This lovely comfortable venue has good acoustics, and is fully handicapped accessible.
Tickets are $12.50 in advance, and can be purchased by credit card or PayPal through the GPJAC.org website or by mailing a check made out to GPJAC to PO Box 204, Port Jefferson NY 11777. On the day of the concert, tickets will be $15 at the door, $10 seniors 65 and older, and $5 for students with a valid ID.
About the Artists:
Long Island residents Ron and Julie Anne Meixsell have been entertaining audiences for the past twenty-five years. They have been seen performing at The Bruno Walter Auditorium in Lincoln Center, have been featured soloists with The Valley Pops Orchestra in Allentown, PA, and performed for three seasons with The Sound Symphony Summer Concert Series on Long Island. While living in Washington D.C., Ron sang the National Anthem for former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. Julie Anne’s performance at the Smithsonian Institute was televised as a part of the “Portraits in Motion” series.
