The Riverhead Chamber of Commerce’s next upcoming breakfast will take place on April 10th at 8:00 in the morning, and will feature a theme celebrating Earth Day. Attendees to the breakfast will be able to enjoy presentations about how they can help to streamline their operations and keep their businesses green. Presenters will focus on simple, easy steps which any business can take to do their part in protecting the planet.
The event will take place at the Jedediah Hawkins Inn & Restaurant in Jamesport. The inn and restaurant have a rich history and are surrounded by 22 acres of beautiful gardens and farmland. The restaurant itself serves produce and herbs from the property’s own gardens. They also keep chickens; eggs served at breakfast are fresh. In this way, the inn provides a model of self-sufficiency, and also does its part to promote green, healthy living. If you would like to attend the event and learn how your business can go green and protect the planet, you will need to make a reservation by calling the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce in advance at 727-7600. You can also email info@riverheadchamber.com. There is a $18 fee, which is discounted to $15 for members of the chamber.
