MINEOLA, NY, August 26, 2013—Late yesterday evening, American Red Cross volunteers responded to a home fire on Maple Ave. in Uniondale that displaced two families. The Red Cross provided both households, 9 adults and 3 children, with emergency housing and funds for food and clothing.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, all Red Cross disaster assistance is provided at no cost to those affected.
