Lake Grove, NY - May 4, 2016 - QuickChek Corporation, a market leader in food services dedicated to serving its communities, will be raising funds to help support post-9/11 service members and their families through an in-store donation program.
Customers are invited to purchase paper dog-tags for $1 at any of the company’s 142 fresh convenience market store locations in the metropolitan area beginning Saturday, May 7 through June 4, 2016 to benefit Hope For The Warriors®, a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.
All of the funds raised will stay in local areas to help support local veterans.
“We are very pleased to continue to honor and support our service members and their families who give so much of themselves,” said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling, whose family-owned-company has raised millions of dollars to support a variety of causes benefiting children, families, and veterans.
This is the third year in a row the Whitehouse Station, NJ-based chain has run this promotion. The company raised $75,000 for Hope For The Warriors over a four-week period in 2014 and $92,000 in six weeks last year. The program has been warmly embraced by QuickChek store leaders, customers in two states and the service organization.
“We are also very proud of our customers who strongly support our efforts to give back to the communities we serve,” added Durling. “It is a reflection of our being a welcome part of the neighborhoods where we have store locations and recognition of our total commitment and dedication to our customers.”
Each dog-tag that is purchased will be signed and posted on the walls of each of the company’s stores throughout Long Island, the Hudson Valley, and New Jersey in support of the service members and their families.
Hope For The Warriors® is dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for service members and military families. It has earned a Four-Star rating from Charity Navigator for five consecutive years, an independent organization that evaluates fiscal responsibility and accountability for non-profits.
