(RIVERHEAD, NY, April 23, 2013) –– East End Arts invites press to cover their Spring Gala, to be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 6 PM to 11 PM, at Raphael Vineyard in Peconic, NY. This celebratory evening will honor community supporters Alice & Jack Van de Wetering and Bridgehampton gallery owner Peter Marcelle. The SOLD OUT fundraising event will feature cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, dinner and dancing to the music of the Laura Rivela Band, and live and silent auctions, including artwork by some of the East End’s most renowned artists as well as exclusive East Endand NYC experiences and memorabilia. Hosting the evening as the mistress of ceremonies is award-winning broadcaster, producer, host and interviewer Bonnie Grice.
East End Arts invites members of the press to attend and cover the event. Proceeds from this fundraising event help support East End Arts’ mission to build and enrich our community through the arts by way of education, support, advocacy, and inspiration, as well providing art and music lesson scholarships to area children. Last year’s inaugural gala which celebrated 40 years of East End Arts was a huge success, with a sold-out venue and a successful art auction by area artists (including pieces by Chuck Close, Eric Fischl and Ilya Kabakov!) We expect this year to be even more of a success!
