GREENPORT, N.Y. –– Peconic Landing has announced the promotion of Laurelle Cassone, currently sales manager, to the position of sales director of the not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Greenport.
“Laurelle has been an integral part of the Peconic Landing team since we welcomed our first members in 2002,” said Robert J. Syron, Peconic Landing president and CEO. “She is highly knowledgeable about our community and uses her exceptional skills as a former retirement counselor to help prospective members understand the security, peace of mind and lifestyle they can expect from Peconic Landing. Laurelle will be particularly instrumental in guiding the sales team as we move forward with the approximately $45 million expansion of our facilities, amenities and therapies next year.”
Previously employed by an Internet provider, Cassone served initially as night receptionist at Peconic Landing. She joined the marketing team as a retirement counselor in August 2003 and was promoted to sales manager in April 2010.

Cassone is a North Fork native, attended Greenport High School and is a Southold homeowner. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Empire State College.
