Peconic Landing Shares Passions with Launch of MFI Movie Screenings;
Teams with World-Renowned Artists for Ongoing Sculpture Garden
Greenport, NY – Much more than just your average retirement community, Peconic Landing is becoming increasingly well-known for its strong commitment to community and deep appreciation of artistic expression. Partnering with the Manhattan Film Institute, Peconic Landing will host a public viewing of Joe Pantoliano’s independent film Canvas on July 7th, the first in a series of four film screenings.
Pantoliano stars in the film alongside Academy Award Winning actress Marcia Gay Harden and tackles the stigma associated with mental illness with his poignant performance. Mr. Joe Pantoliano will be on-site to introduce the film and will be holding an extensive Q&A upon conclusion of the screening.
Upcoming films in the series include Like Crazy, July 14th with writer Ben York Jones, followed by A Bronx Tale, July 19th with writer/actor Chazz Palminteri, and the series will conclude on July 21st with Conviction hosted by actor/director Tony Goldwyn.
Peconic Landing will also be holding a reception on July 8th at Brecknock Hall to introduce its Outdoor Living Gallery, which features a selection of breathtaking sculptures from world-renown artists such as Rob Lorenson, Nova and Arden Scott.
