Peconic Landing Celebrates 10th Anniversary August 19 W/ Atlantic Wind Symphony

PECONIC LANDING CELEBRATES 10^TH ANNIVERSARY AUGUST 19 WITH COMMUNITY EVENT FEATURING ATLANTIC WIND SYMPHONY

An Overture of Thanks Expressing Gratitude to the

North Fork Community for a Decade of Support 

Greenport, NY (August 6, 2012) – Peconic Landing is celebrating its 10-year relationship with the North Fork community by hosting an appreciation evening on August 19 at 7 p.m. for friends, neighbors and the residents of Greenport. The event will feature a live music performance by the Atlantic Wind Symphony and will conclude with a fireworks display at 9 p.m.

“We are committed to incorporating innovative thinking in everything we do here at Peconic Landing. Over the past 10 years, we’ve become an integral part of the North Fork by creating meaningful partnerships with local organizations. These allow us to implement a variety of beneficial programs focusing on education, arts and culture, business, healthcare and charitable giving. We are looking forward to celebrating our 10^th anniversary and being able to show our appreciation for all the support we’ve received in our endeavors,” said Robert J. Syron, president and CEO of Peconic Landing.

The recent launch of the Outdoor Living Gallery, which features a selection of exquisite sculptures from world-renowned artists, as well as a partnership with the Manhattan Film Institute that offers a series of screenings featuring celebrities such as actor/director Tony Goldwyn and Academy Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, are just two examples of Peconic Landing's innovation. The organization’s commitment is also evident in its partnerships with area schools, where it offers mentor and internship programs as well as scholarships. Additionally, Peconic Landing has hosted numerous events that have included life enrichment classes and health education forums on a variety of topics, and has initiated fund drives and community-wide strategic planning efforts as well.
