“Metaphysical May”
A Series of Paranormal Programming in Conjunction with East End Arts Gallery’s La Morte Art Show: Opening April 27th
(RIVERHEAD, NY, April 19, 2012) –– East End Arts is delighted to announce a series of metaphysical programming in conjunction with the upcoming juried, all media art show, La Morte, (Italian for “death”) at the East End Arts’ Gallery. This series, entitled “Metaphysical May,” and will feature events and workshops relating to the paranormal. Similar programming will be presented by the Suffolk County Historical Society, in conjunction with their upcoming exhibit entitled Death Becomes Her, which will feature death and mourning memorabilia. The sessions are led by local metaphysical practitioners LeLonni Campbell and Phoenix Redhawk as noted above. LeLonni Campbell is a member of the American Federation of Astrologers. She has been practicing astrology for over 40 years and currently has a practice on Eastern Long Island. She has conducted workshops, library lectures and adult education classes. Phoenix Redhawk, founder of Sacred Feather Healing Arts, is a Reiki Master/Teacher, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Reflexologist, Master Ear Candler and an Anamcara (a mid-wife to those in end stages of physical life.)
For the East End Arts Gallery’s La Morte Show, guest juror April Gornik, internationally renowned landscape artist, will select works that she feels offer original and personal insight into what the reality and/or concept of death means to the artist. The Opening Reception for La Morte Show will be held on Friday, April 27 from 5 PM to 7 PM. The opening reception is a free event, open to the public; refreshments will be served.The East End Arts Gallery is located at 133 East Main Street in Riverhead. Exhibiting concurrently is the Suffolk County Historical Society’s exhibition entitled Death Becomes Her, which will open the same evening with a reception from 6PM to 8PM.
