West Islip, NY – On April 25, 2012, Timothy Darby, RN, of Our Lady of Consolation Nursing and Rehabilitative Care Center, was presented with the Catholic Health Services (CHS) Living the Mission Award for exemplifying the CHS mission values of respect, justice, integrity and excellence. The Blue Point resident is a charge nurse at Our Lady of Consolation, a member of CHS, and was nominated by his colleagues for his outstanding qualities.
“Tim demonstrates all aspects of our mission, especially respect,” said a colleague. “He addresses patients as ‘Mr.’ or ‘Mrs.’ to show them the respect they deserve.” Another added that Darby is often praised by Our Lady of Consolation residents for his helpfulness.
