West Islip, NY - February 5, 2015 - Jackie Wolf, MS, CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist, and Marie Legros, CNA, were recently presented with the Catholic Health Services (CHS) Living the Mission Award for exemplifying the CHS mission values of respect, justice, integrity and excellence. Wolf, a Medford resident, and Legros, a resident of Queens, were nominated by their colleagues for their outstanding qualities and were chosen from among 30 nominees.
One of Wolf’s co-worker said they nominated her because “she is a person who, whenever you are feeling overwhelmed, she helps with a big smile. Residents and staff love her.”
“She is always happy and humming, making a bright morning. She has showered me, cared for my personal needs, dressed me and just made a sleepy head glad to be alive,” said a patient of Legros.
Wolf has been with Our Lady of Consolation since 2008 and Legros joined the team in 2001.
