West Islip, NY 11795 - On October 4, 2012, Jane Kelly, RN, Nurse Manager at Our Lady of Consolation and employee since 1983, was recognized as a Shining STAR Recipient at the Long Island Health Network awards ceremony at the Crest Hollow Country Club. Long Island Health Network joined together, in 1998, with 10 hospitals, to improve and standardize their clinical qualities, enhance their operation efficiency, and expand access to care for all Long Islanders. This award chooses individuals, who are nominated from their individual facilities, who show leadership, excellence in communication, teamwork, self improvement, customer service, and problem solving. Each recipient represents the ideals of patient-centered care and delivers outstanding performance above, and beyond the call of duty.
“Jane runs a tight ship, her compassion and caring is projected to the entire community. When regulators come in to survey the facility, we consistently receive compliments on the efficiency of Ms. Kelly’s community,” stated Theresa Rosenthal, RN, Vice President of Clinical Services at Our Lady of Consolation.
Jane resides in Bay Shore with her husband Mike.
