In the restaurant business, one of the major achievements today is to be listed on Open Table's "Hot List". This means that you have "made it" and many people are giving your place a lot of good reviews. And now, Open Table, the online reservations service, has issued its list of 100 "hot spot" restaurants nationwide, and four Long Island dining rooms have sizzled in.
And the winning restaurants? I don't think there are any better choices for being listed on the top 100 "hot spots" on Long Island. They are Monsoon in Babylon, Toku in Manhasset, Hendrick's Tavern in Roslyn, and Honu Kitchen & Cocktails in Huntington. These restaurants, from across Long Island, are on the 2013 list.
How did they get there? Well, besides serving tremendous food and having outstanding service, they were all rated by visitors and users of Open Table. From over 5 million reviews, these four made it onto the list because of the many people who submitted these reviews and rated them 5 stars.
I have to say, that I am quite impressed with this list. Monsoon and Hendrick's Tavern are among my favorites on Long Island and I also enjoy the friends I have at each place. If you're looking for a great place to eat this weekend, try out one of these four places. Don't forget to use Open Table to make your reservation!
