Job hunters planning to attend upcoming job fairs like the Private Sector Mega Job Fair at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on November 4th will want to also mark their calendars for the job preparation workshops which have just been announced by Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano. During the workshops, attendees will have a chance to learn about resume writing and interview techniques. They will also receive general guidance on searching for careers which would be a good fit for their abilities. “The better prepared the job seekers are, the more confidence they have which can lead to greater employment opportunities and success,” stated Mangano.
The job preparation workshops will be held on October 23rd and October 30th. Both will take place between 2:30 pm and 4:00 pm, and will be held at the Cradle of Aviation Museum at 1 Davis Avenue, Garden City. The workshops will be conducted by staffing agency employees who are experts in job placement. If you wish to attend, you will need to call (516) 227-7692 or (516) 227-8656 to register. If you choose to attend the job fair in November, you will have a chance to meet with representatives from 300 companies. 10,000 job candidates are expected to attend the job fair to compete for open positions.
