Many locals to Bellmore should be familiar with the Nassau County Strawberry Festival. It has been running for over 20 years as an annual fundraising event. Children, teens and adults alike have a fabulous and fun time each year.
The festival includes rides, live entertainment, a variety of fresh strawberry concoctions and more. The event is presented by two non-profit groups: Bellmore Kiwanis and Lions Clubs.
Make sure you stop by the four-day festival starting this week. It runs from May 31 to June 3. The schedule is as follows:
The festival takes place at the BOCES School at 220 Jerusalem Avenue on Bellmore. Admission is affordable at $2 per person with free parking. Children under 5 are admitted for free.
This fundraising event will help support not-for-profit organizations that give back through local endeavors, from student scholarships, local food pantries, to other causes. The event will also feature the Green Expo, a collection of sponsors in the green business.
Come back each week for new features on entertainment, shopping and dining opportunities on Long Island.
