(Port Jefferson Station, NY) — More than 100 motorcycle riders and animal lovers participated in Save-A-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center's Eighth Annual Ruff Riders Rally on August 10. The event raised money for the care of rescued animals.
The motorcycle rally started at Petco in Rocky Point. From there, bikers toured eastern Suffolk County and through southern Long Island and ended up at 89 North in Patchogue. At the end of their trip, they enjoyed lunch and live music from Songs In The Attic, Big Daddy & The Bulldogs, Fast Lane. Seven Turns, Milagro and That Rock Band, courtesy of Act1Entertainment.net. They also learned about Save-A-Pet's mission and why it is better to adopt a pet rather than purchase one from a pet store.
There were also dogs available for adoption from Save-A-Pet. Raffles and merchandise were on sale, with all the proceeds going to benefit Save-A-Pet.
