Molto Vino has only been open six months, but it has quickly gained popularity. While only light food fare is offered, the selection of wines and the atmosphere are what keeps people coming back time and time again.
Jennifer O’Brien celebrated her 37th birthday at Molto Vino after they stopped there for a drink on the way to dinner. Her sister, Melissa O’Brien said of the location, “This place is calm, it’s intimate and it’s light food. Everyone is comfortable, so we decided to stay here.” Others agree with them and spend evenings enjoying the light food and the tasty wines.
Molto Vino offers 100 wines in both the bottle and by the glass. Almost 75 percent of them are Italian and most are from smaller vineyards. Light fare choices are rotated and include unbriacone, pecorino, and Brie cheeses, as well as cured meats like speck, soppressata, and prosciutto, and salads. These are the perfect complement to the wine offerings that Molto Vino has.
The owner of Molto Vino, Massimiliano Gargiulo, says of his bar, “Here, you will try every glass of wine until you fine the wine you like. For me, it’s the concept of educating people. It’s not just merlots, cabernets, the usual wines. There are so many other wines out there that people don’t know.” He educates at both his wine bar and the adjacent Solo Vino wine shop, which opened in 2010. Mr. Gargiulo is from Capri and remembers making wine with his father and selling it to local restaurants.
This wine bar, and others, are seeing great success and most of this can be attributed to the relaxed atmosphere and the service that educates them to the wines that they offer. If you are looking for a place to spend an evening with friends or with your significant other, visit Molto Vino.
