Eastern Long Island Hospital makes patient advances once again by obtaining new pediatric imaging equipment called Pigg-O-Stat funded by the Mattituck Lions Club. A Pigg-O-Stat, though it may have a unique name, is a vital piece of equipment regarding infant care. The Pigg-O-Stat is designed to immobilize and position children (infants to 3 years old) in order to capture quality chest x-rays without undo exposure to parents.
“Acquiring new pediatric imaging equipment such as the Pigg-O-Stat illustrates to the community that ELIH is here to provide care to all ages in our local community. We are constantly looking for new and improved technology that translates to excellence in patient care.” says Paul J. Connor III, President and CEO. “ELIH would like to thank the Mattituck Lions Club for their generosity and commitment to local healthcare.”
