East Hampton, NY - November 15, 2016 - A fabulous holiday tradition continues for the iconic c/o The Maidstone Hotel in East Hampton as they will host their annual community Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 4-6 p.m.
Hundreds of families are expected to gather at the Scandinavian-inspired boutique hotel, which showcases 19 individually decorated rooms and cottages, and watch the 35-foot pine tree light up to announce the commencement of the holiday season.
The family-friendly ceremony is highlighted by a visit from Santa Claus and features holiday music from the East Hampton High School choir.
In the holiday spirit, c/o The Maidstone Hotel will serve complimentary Christmas cookies, traditional saffron buns and hot apple cider.
For the adults, there is Happy Hour pricing and a pre-fixe menu of three courses for $35.
Once again, c/o The Maidstone Hotel is a drop point for U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots. Baker encourages the community to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the tree lighting ceremony. The toys will be picked up on Dec. 16 and distributed as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community.
“Hosting the Tree Lighting Ceremony each yearis one of my favorite things to do in connection with owning the hotel! I love sharing this moment with our neighbors, the community and the kids of East Hampton,” said c/o The Maidstone Hotel owner Jenny Baker. “The holiday season is such a special time for me and my family and seeing the kids singing, laughing and waiting for the lights to appear on this corner of Main Street means the beginning of the holiday season for us.”
