PAL-0-MINE EQUESTRIAN RECEIVES DONATION FROM
RTS FAMILY FOUNDATION OF NEW JERSEY
--Donation to fund program for at-risk youth and youth with disabilities--
Islandia, New York - Pal-O-Mine Equestrian has received an $80,800 grant from RTS Family Foundation located in Haworth, New Jersey. This grant will go towards funding for Pal-O-Mine’s Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) Program.
Pal-O-Mine’s EAL Program offers students an alternative approach to education by incorporating horses into positive and constructive learning experiences. Students of the EAL Program include at-risk youth as well as children and adolescents with cognitive disabilities, emotional disturbances, learning disabilities, mental illness, and hearing impairment. The EAL Program engages students in a nontraditional academic environment with guided horse interactions, classroom instruction, and incorporated reading, writing, art, and math skills in order to facilitate a different approach to learning and values that can be integrated into a traditional classroom setting.
