Do you love Mozart? You definitely do not want to miss the Long Island Mozart Festival at Old Westbury Gardens on Saturday, May 25th and Sunday, May 26th. This weekend event is in collaboration with Chambers Players International and features guest artists along with the Chambers Players. All activities are included with the admission to Old Westbury Gardens, so you can come early and enjoy the gardens as well.
The concerts at 4PM and 6PM on Saturday feature Svetlana Smolina, a pianist, who is playing Mozart Sonatas and Piano Trios. On Sunday, Olga Vinokur, also a pianist, who is a member of the World Youth Alliance Chamber Orchestra of the U.N, will be the featured artist at 4PM and 6PM. She will be sharing the Mozart Concerto in A Major for piano and orchestra.
Lawn seating is available, so bring along a chair or a blanket to enjoy the concert(s), as well as the gardens. Food will be available on the grounds for an additional cost. Come out and enjoy a night of Mozart and fun.
Admission for Old Westbury Gardens is $10 for adults, $8 for senior citizens, $5 for students ages 7 through 17, and ages 6 and under are admitted free. Visit http://www.longislandmozartfestival.com/ or www.oldwestburygardens.org for more information.
