CORPORATIONS OFFER A HELPING HAND TO LOCAL NON PROFIT
--People's Alliance Federal Credit Union, Leviton Manufacturing Company and GE Aviation Volunteer at Pal-O-Mine Equestrian--
Islandia, New York— People’s Alliance Federal Credit Union, Leviton Manufacturing Company and GE Aviation have provided support and volunteer services to Pal-O-Mine Equestrian, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing therapy and recreation to children and adults with disabilities. Each corporation worked on a different volunteer project to help improve and maintain the equestrian facilities at Pal-O-Mine.
Each year Pal-O-Mine receives support from local corporations to help with various projects on its property. Volunteers are essential to the success of Pal-O-Mine programs and behind the scenes operations. This summer, three local corporations have worked on volunteer projects to build, revamp, and improve facility equipment as well as the grounds and amenities at Pal-O-Mine. People's Alliance Federal Credit Union painted new PVC poles to be used in therapeutic lessons. Leviton Manufacturing Company stained the mounting ramp, built two mounting blocks, an off side block and five new hay boxes for the therapeutic horses. GE Aviation stained the boardwalk and chairs, painted the gazebos and built a new shed to hold grain for the horses.
