Lobster And Steakhouse Dinners You Don't Want To Miss on Long Island

The bets are in your favor that you’ll have a good dinner when it involves lobster or dining at a steakhouse. We have highlighted special dining options for both this week.

On Aug. 15, head over to The Cull House in Sayville for its Lobster Bake and Beer Dinner at 7pm in the Garden. Guests have a chance to enjoy Long Island clam chowder, BBQ clams casino, grilled 1 ¼ lb lobster, Long Island corn and campfire s’mores bread pudding. On top of that, dinner will be paired with beer from premier breweries from Long Island, including Blue Point Brewery, Great South Bay Brewery and Green Port Harbor. Enjoy it all for $49 per person plus tax and gratuity.

For steakhouse dining, head over to Mac’s Steakhouse in Huntington. During the month of August (Sunday’s thru Thursday’s), it is offering a “Restaurant Week” menu. It features a first course option of soup or salad, a main entrée option of char grilled skirt steak, pan seared tilapia oreganata, roasted free range chicken or grilled wild salmon, and New York cheesecake or chocolate mousse cake for dessert. Get it all for $26.95 per person. If you’re looking to dine with Mac’s Steakhouse on Friday, consider its Signature Surf & Turf Special, available between 5pm – 11pm. It offers a deal covering dinner for 2 for $70. Each person dining has a choice of wedge salad, caesar salad or lobster bisque for a starter, a main course of broiled lobster tails (6 oz.), filet mignon (16 oz.), creamed spinach and mash potatoes, and New York style cheesecake or chocolate mousse cake for desert. It also includes coffee or tea. The restaurant also offers a wine list accommodating to every budget and taste, and has been awarded Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence.

Both restaurants, The Cull House and Mac’s Steakhouse, are locally owned and offer tasteful dishes. Head out to enjoy food from both this week!
