Long Island Universityhas just announced its very first Entrepreneurship Week, which will take place from September 16th-20th on campus. During the week, attendees will have the chance to attend lectures from successful entrepreneurs. Right now, LIU’s Entrepreneurship Week schedule includes lectures from Alan Vituli, former CEO of Carrols Restaurant Group, Sanford Kane, CEO of Real Sourcing Network, and Garth Monroe, Vice President and CFO of BioNano Genomics.
The speakers at the event will share their experiences and advice with students and hopeful entrepreneurs who want to share their own innovations with the world. “The opportunity to meet and learn directly from people like Sandy, Alan and Garth is one of the greatest advantages of studying at a comprehensive private university like LIU,” stated Dr. Andrew Rosman, Dean of the LIU Post College of Management. “To spend time in their company is a rare and valuable opportunity.”
The first event will feature Monroe, speaking in the Patron’s Lounge at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts on September 18th. His speech will be followed by Vituli’s on September 19th in Humanities Hall Room 119. On the 20th, Kane will deliver his speech at the Patron’s Lounge. All three speeches will take place between 12:30 and 1:50 p.m.
