One of the great ways to continue moving forward in your own industry is to honor the achievements of others. At a recent night of honoring the "Best" the Long Island Software and Technology Unit paid special attention those who did outstanding marketing in their field.
The Garden City Hotel was the place for the night of honoring where LIBN Editor Andrea Jones in publishing and The EGC Group’s Managing Partner Nicole Larrauri in social media both received the "Best" of label. Cape Horn Strategies Inc. CEO Brian Turchin, Carousel Industries CIO Diane Slevin-Boyle and Fuoco Technology’s Paul Trapani were also honored for support groups.
As a way of showing a great tribute to the work and dedication of the people honred Tammy Camp-Levinksy, LISTnet’s director of member services, said, “Brian, Diane and Paul’s efforts in marketing the LISTnet’s support groups are extremely effectively and greatly contribute to their success. In addition, the dedication to give back to the community by way of contribution of time, effort and passion for their groups is the extra mile we so greatly appreciate, and this our way to recognize them.”
In this world of fast moving business, and social media, having people on your team that you can trust is an asset that should continually be honored. This night was one of those moments. In doing so, Camp-Levinsky took the opportunity to also praise the leadership of the women in their group stating, “Andrea works from behind the scenes to make the LIBN a successful go-to for stories, events and information the LI business community relies on. She is such a talented and experienced woman that has risen to the top in her field. Andrea’s acceptance speech included reasons technology is so important and was so wonderfully inspiring to the group in attendance.”
In all, the amazing night of honoring the "Best" in Long Island was a great night for everyone involved.
