The LIA’s Health, Education and Not-For-Profit Committee will meet on Monday, September 10
th at 8:30a.m. at LIA HQ, 300 Broadhollow Road,
Melville (Lower Level of the Bank of America Building).
The featured item on our agenda is a presentation of the annual “Long Island Education: Costs and Outcomes” report. Each year,
Eastern Suffolk BOCES and the Long Island Education Coalition, in collaboration with the Long Island Association, develop this report which provides a basis for the informed discussion of educational issues and state aid reform within the region, which are key drivers of the Long Island economy. The report identifies regional priorities for state aid reform and analyses are based upon an assessment of the collective performance of the region's
school districts and knowledge of the state budget process. There will also be a question and answer session.
This member strategic committee is led by co-chairs, Dr. Sam Stanley, President of
