LIA Financial Services and Tax Policy Committee  Tuesday, April 24, 2012 - 8:30 a.m.  Long Island Association Headquarters - Lower Level  300 Broadhollow Rd., Melville

The inaugural meeting of the LIA’s Financial Services and Tax Policy Committee will be held on Tuesday, April 24th at 8:30a.m. at LIA HQ, 300 Broadhollow Road, Melville (Lower Level).   This member strategic committee will be led by our co-chairs, Jeffrey Alter, CEO Northeast Region for UnitedHealthcare and William Savino, Managing Partner of Rivkin Radler LLP. The Financial Services and Tax Policy Committee will explore tax, insurance and banking issues and the impact of various proposals and regulations on the region.

Our featured speaker at this meeting will be John Fleig of UnitedHealthcare. As the U.S. Supreme Court is deliberating its constitutionality and New York State is considering creating a health care exchange, John will address the prominent topic of the federal health care law, its costs for employers and effect on job growth.
