On October 24 at 8:30 am, the LIA Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee is having a very timely and exciting meeting; a meeting that you don’t want to miss.
As the Long Island Regional Economic Development Council competes for more state funding this year, one of the most critical and transformational development projects on Long Island is the Ronkonkoma Hub. This transit-oriented development is in close proximity to both the busiest train station on
the LIRR and MacArthur Airport and is envisioned as a live-work-play destination that will attract young people, create a vibrant center for Long Island and serve as a gateway to the East End.
We are offering our members a unique opportunity to hear from the point person shepherding the master development of the site, Robert Coughlan, Principal of TRITEC Real Estate Company. This presentation and question and answer session will also include updates from Robert on other major TRITEC projects in the region such as New Village in Patchogue. This will be followed by an update from co-chair Tracey Edwards on the Long Island Regional Economic Development Council’s work and then an open discussion about the feedback you submitted earlier about the key economic development issues facing our region. You can learn more about the progress of the Ronkonkoma Hub and the Long
Island Regional Economic Development Council, as well as weigh in with questions, input and recommendations. Most importantly, give your insight into how all of this might affect your business.
Please RSVP to
Matt Cohen. Thank you.
