JAKE’S WAYBACK BURGERS HELPS END CHILD HUNGER
Burger Joint Partners With ‘Share Our Strength’s Dine Out For No Kid Hungry™’
CHESHIRE, CT August 16, 2012 —Jake’s Wayback Burgers of East Northport, New York announces today that it is joining thousands of restaurants nationwide to support ‘Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry®’ campaign. For the entire month of September, Jake’s Wayback Burgers, will donate twenty-five cents for every new Facebook “Like” on its East Northport, New York Facebook Fan Page.
Additionally, for the month of September, when a customer donates a dollar to support the ‘No Kid Hungry®’ campaign, they will receive a Wayback Buck to use for their next visit. The Wayback buck will take one dollar off the customer's next visit over five dollars. The Wayback Bucks expire on October 31.
“Millions of American families struggle to provide meals for their children, and we stand with Share Our Strength to end childhood hunger,” said Howard Zeller, Franchisee Owner of Jake's Wayback Burgers of East Northport. “We believe that Dine Out For No Kid Hungry is an important initiative in which foodservice operators can make a big difference.”
Now in its fifth year, Dine Out For No Kid Hungry has raised more than $4 million for the No Kid Hungry campaign – funds that are used to raise awareness about child hunger in the U.S. create public-private partnerships that align kids with the resources they need, support school breakfast, summer and after-school meal programs and educate kids and their families on how to cook healthy meals with limited resources.
