Hauppauge, NY - March 10th, 2015 - Island Harvest, Long Island’s largest hunger relief organization, feeding and supporting 316,000 Long Islanders annually, has retained Long Island public relations firm Epoch 5 to head up its public relations, branding and marketing initiatives.

With a mission to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island, Island Harvest will work hand-in-hand with Epoch 5  to help raise awareness about people who are hungry on Long Island and mobilize the community to support their neighbors in need by contributing funds, donating food, volunteering and/or becoming a corporate sponsor.

“Known for delivering results, Epoch 5 works with many prominent Long Island companies and organizations and is a recognized industry leader,” said Randi Shubin Dresner, President and CEO, Island Harvest.  “We look forward to working with Epoch 5 and its top-notch team to help us develop impactful and strategic marketing outreach initiatives and continue to make a difference in the lives of Long Islanders living with hunger.”

“Island Harvest has pioneered so many valuable programs for Long Islanders living with food insecurity and poverty, solidifying the organization as the leading hunger relief organization on Long Island,” said Katherine Heaviside, President, Epoch 5 Public Relations.  “Epoch 5 is privileged to be able to leverage our knowledge, experience and resources with this highly respected and impactful organization.”
