Ice Menorah Sculpture to be lit at Chabad's annual Chanukah Celebration at Whole Foods in Jericho

Jericho, NY - December 9, 2012 - Chanukah -The Festival of Lights- for many of us brings back fond memories of childhood years and serves to renew our sense of identity. The Chanukah lights provide us with warmth, joy, strength and inspiration. Such is the purpose of a community-wide celebration to be held at the parking lot of Whole Foods in Jericho this Chanukah.

Chabad's annual Public Menorah Lighting, will be highlighted this year with the lighting of a 6 foot Menorah carved out of a 500 lb. block of ice by Sculptor Mark Mckenzie.

Our Chanukah event will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at 4:00 P.M. (Sculpting will begin at 3:30pm) in the center of the Parking lot of Whole Foods, near North Broadway. There will be plenty of Latkes and doughnuts and Chanukah treats. Dignitaries will be in attendance as well.

Admission is free of charge!
