Huntington Arts Council Presents "BOLD" exhibit at the Art-Trium Gallery, Melville
HUNTINGTON, NY- Huntington Arts Council invites you to attend "BOLD", an exhibit featuring artists that grab the viewer with their unique and striking artwork. According to curator William Grabowski, "BOLD may be achieved by subject matter, color, style or by employing any of the artistic elements in a special way". "BOLD" features artists Patricia Brown, Bert Reminick, Lewis Isaac Testa, and Stan Teich. An opening reception will be held on Friday, November 16th from 5:30-7:00pm at the Art-Trium, 25 Melville Park Road, Melville, NY 11747. During the reception, there will be a music performance by Shenole Latimer.
About the artists:
- Patricia Brown: Ms. Brown is intrigued by organic images in her work. Either by closely cropping living creatures into abstracts, or by capturing repeated images – her acrylic creations wonderfully draw us into her world and share in its beauty.
- Bert Reminick: Mr. Reminick’s photographs masterfully capture for us the meaningful compositions that Nature lays out for us. Sometimes gathered for us as they exist, and sometimes altered to create a special reality, Mr. Reminick’s works are brilliant pieces that boldly and distinctively record a unique moment.
- Lewis Isaac Testa: Mr. Testa often uses strong, solitary figures to attract us - be they people or objects. His subjects make us ponder the narratives and stories he has created. His artistic statements, realistically rendered, focus our attention to those life images that move him deeply.
- Stan Teich: Mr. Teich’s paintings and mixed-media work explore color and texture in explosive ways. His works convey melting and morphing in a rich and eye-catching manner.
The exhibit will run from the opening reception Friday, November 16th through February 25, 2013.
