When it comes to new tavern opening up on Long Island there is always cause for celebration. But, when that tavern doubles as a retail shop also, then there is true reason to celebrate the holiday season! In the last week of November, The Village of Patchogue welcomed the new Hoptron Brewtique to its community as they opened their doors for the first time. This coming Saturday, December, 8th the "Brewtique" will be holding an official ribbon cutting ceremony.
This ceremony will be held at 1 PM and Mayor Paul Pontieri will be there for the honor of cutting the ribbon.
This new type of establishment is a wonderful combination of retail and beer. It is also the brainchild of best friends Amanda Danielsen, 35, and Succety Lara, 30; both of Miller Place. They have been fans of craft beer and wanted to provide a way to not only sell their beloved beer, but also educate people in what is available for Long Island beers.
Hoptron Brewtique will have 16 different Long Island craft beers on tap as well as many different items to sell including specialty bottles for purchase, including a “mix-a-six” section where guests can create their own six packs. The duo also has some especially wonderful future plans for their brewtique which include things like hosting a variety of beer events, such as: tastings, food pairings, brewing clinics, home brewing contests and beer club meetings.
The location is wonderful within the upscale shops and entertainment venues and the two are looking to have a long future in Patchoque.
