Honor a Local Hero at the Bethpage Air Show

If you know someone who performed a heroic or selfless act to help others during Hurricane Sandy or in the aftermath of the Superstorm, now is your chance to help that person find recognition and have fun at the Bethpage Air Show.  The airshow is hosting a competition called “Community Heroes of Hurricane Sandy.”  You can nominate yourself or someone you know to win. 

You can begin submitting your entries today, April 9^th.  All entries should be formatted as short essays of 200 words or less.  Provide specific examples of how you or someone you know provided help to others during or after Hurricane Sandy.  You can submit your essays online at either http://www.facebook.com/jonesbeachairshow.com or http://promoshq.wildfireapp.com/website/6/contests/318421 for consideration, or you may mail them to the Bethpage Federal Credit Union at 899 South Oyster Bay Road, Bethpage, NY 11714.  Address your envelope, “ATTN:  Bethpage Air Show Contest.”  Ten winners will be picked, each of whom will receive four VIP tickets to the show, four tickets to the GEICO Skytypers Meet & Greet, and a gift basket.  One lucky Grand Prize Winner will be able to take a flight with the Skytypers.  All entries must be submitted by May 3^rd, and winners will be announced three days later on May 7^th.
