The Suffolk County SPCA is asking for information about circumstances surrounding the dumping of two decapitated animal heads in the East Northport area.
Chief Roy Gross of the Suffolk SPCA said that the agency received a call that the animal heads, possibly a goat or sheep, were found today in a plastic bag near the intersection of Elwood and Warner Roads in East Northport. This is the second time in less than a year that animal remains have been found in the same general vicinity. Gross said "we find this deeply disturbing."
Anyone with information can contact the Suffolk County SPCA at 631-382-7722. All calls will be kept confidential.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
"Protecting Suffolk County's animals is the only job we do!"
