There is no question that anyone living on Long Island can find plenty of events to occupy themselves and their family. There is just a tremendous selection of things to do that sometimes you are like a deer in the headlights; can't make a decision of what to do because of the large number of events. If you have some time on your hands this week, and are looking for an event on Long Island to enjoy, here are a few great choices to check out.
This Thursday, March 14, at 6 PM, the Watermill Caterers is going to be the place where you can enjoy great comedy acts with a ton of food, drink, and fun. Each year, the John T. Mather Memorial Hospital Comedy & Cuisine benefit, is a great night of comedians and great offerings from Long Island restaurants, bakeries, wineries, microbreweries and gourmet shops. The event costs $75 and is worth every penny!
This annual showcase opened Feb. 16 at Mills Pond House, and features artwork created by more than 250 students in Suffolk County. This gallery is open seven days a week; Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 12-4 p.m.
For those who are extra ambitious and want to learn something new there is always a new dance step or two! Head over to the Frank Brush Barn with $15 at 4 p.m. all week and you could learn how to Irish step dance with the An Rince Mor School of Irish Dance.
Get ready for a great week!
