Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced his endorsement of state Assembly candidate Michaelle Solages (D-Elmont) for the 22nd Assembly District.
“Michaelle Solages will work with me to continue turning New York State around,” Cuomo said. “She has dedicated her life to serving her community and she has proven she’ll go the extra mile to fight for our families. Michaelle will be my strong partner in providing tax relief for Nassau’s families.”
Michaelle Solages is a lifelong Nassau resident and is running on a platform of bringing good-paying jobs, economic development and tax relief to the community. She’ll fight to increase state aid for local schools and ensure more of Nassau County’s children have access to higher education. Solages will also fight to restore youth programs in the community, like after-school tutoring and mental health counseling for at-risk teens.
“Under the governor’s strong leadership, New York was able to lower taxes for working families," Solages said. “I look forward to working with him to make sure working families can continue to afford to live here and our children have plenty of opportunities to prepare themselves for future success.”
Michaelle Solages is the Democratic candidate for the State Assembly seat in the 22nd Assembly District in the upcoming election on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
