For local businesses on Long Island and throughout New Yorkstate, business filings can be a hassle. Thanks to the launch of a new online filing system however, things may soon become more efficient. Governor Andrew M. Cuomo made the announcement today that the new filing system will streamline the process by which entrepreneurs can create Domestic Business Corporations as well as Domestic LLCs. It used to take weeks to process these filings. With the new system implemented, the process may only take a few minutes.
The new filing system will encourage local businesspersons to pursue their dreams, creating more opportunity throughout New York. “This innovative upgrade will save employers time and money,” explains Cuomo, “allowing them to focus on creating jobs and purusing new opportunities in growth.”
This is not the first innovation to make business easier in the state and it will not be the last. Just last year, the Department of Taxation and Finance introduced a new, simple tax reporting system online. Most recently, a new electronic licensing system was introduced for specialized professions. With these new technologies, businesspersons will be able to spend less time with paperwork and wait time, and more time actually doing business and generating profit and jobs.
